Why Intrepid

We’re a remote-first team trusted by category leaders like AWS, ClassPass, PitchBook, AG1, and Skyscanner. At Intrepid, you’ll do the best work of your career with people who care about craft, impact, and each other.

What we offer

  • Fully remote work from anywhere with flexible hours
  • Unlimited holidays
  • Above-market compensation
  • Incredible clients and complex, meaningful problems
  • A high-caliber team that shares knowledge, ships, and wins together

In return, we look for people who go the extra mile when it matters and work smarter than most: owners who pair sharp thinking with crisp execution.

The Role

We’re hiring a GEO Manager to make our clients’ brands discoverable, citable, and accurately represented in AI search. You’ll own Generative Engine Optimization programs across a portfolio of enterprise accounts, from diagnosing how LLMs find and describe a brand to shipping the content, technical, and authority work that changes the answer.

This role sits at the intersection of search, marketing, and machine learning. You understand how models are trained, how they retrieve and ground answers at inference time, and what that means for the way a website is built and written. Just as importantly, you know what a brand needs to say, to whom, and why.

You Will
  • Own GEO strategy end-to-end: Lead Generative Engine Optimization for enterprise clients, from AI visibility audits to prioritized roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Be the primary point of contact and trusted advisor on AI search.
  • Diagnose how AI systems see a brand: Assess whether client content is crawlable by AI bots, indexable in the search and retrieval layers models rely on, retrievable for the prompts that matter, and represented accurately in both model training data and real-time grounding.
  • Turn insight into roadmaps: Translate findings into prioritized backlogs spanning technical infrastructure, content, entity and brand signals, and third-party authority. Run stand-ups, manage dependencies, and clear blockers with dev, content, and PR partners.
  • Shape content for retrievability: Define and coach the principles and processes for writing content that LLMs can extract, chunk, and cite. Write briefs and guidelines that content teams can apply at scale.
  • Connect GEO to the marketing story: Work with clients on messaging, audience, and product positioning so that what AI systems say about the brand matches what the brand wants to be known for, and reaches the right buyers.
  • Measure what matters: Build prompt sets, set up LLM tracking tools, and design measurement frameworks covering AI visibility, share of voice, citations, sentiment, and accuracy. Tie AI visibility to traffic, pipeline, and business outcomes, and report insights executives can act on.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Track changes in models, AI search products, crawler behavior, and emerging standards. Design tests, share learnings, and help shape Intrepid’s GEO methodology.
About You
  • LLM fundamentals: You understand the principles behind large language models and AI search: how models are trained, how pretraining data shapes what they “know,” and how retrieval-augmented generation grounds answers in live sources. You can explain the difference between crawlability, indexability, retrievability, training, and grounding.
  • Copywriting for retrievability: You know the principles and processes for writing content that AI systems retrieve and cite: self-contained passages, answer-first structure, unambiguous entities, specific and verifiable claims, and formats that survive chunking. You can turn these into briefs, templates, and editorial workflows.
  • Marketing instincts: You have solid marketing knowledge across messaging, audience, and product. You can read a positioning statement, understand who the buyer is and what they ask, and make sure AI-generated answers reflect the brand’s value proposition.
  • Measurement expertise: You have hands-on experience with LLM tracking tools (e.g., Profound, Peec AI, Semrush AI Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Scrunch) and with building measurement frameworks for AI visibility. You understand prompt sampling, non-determinism, and how to separate signal from noise.
  • SEO and web infrastructure depth: You have proven experience in SEO and a strong grasp of how search engines work. You know the infrastructure of the web (HTTP, rendering, robots.txt, sitemaps, structured data, CDNs and bot management) and how people, AI crawlers and user agents interact with it.
  • Client and project leadership: You manage enterprise accounts with confidence, build roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver on time.
  • Crisp communication: You can translate dense technical concepts into simple, persuasive narratives for executives, marketers, and engineers alike.

Nice to have

  • Experience running GEO or AI visibility programs for enterprise B2B or technical brands
  • Familiarity with log file analysis to monitor AI crawler activity (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended)
  • Working knowledge of embeddings, vector search, or scripting (Python, SQL) for analysis at scale
  • A background in content, brand, or product marketing alongside SEO
  • Published thinking or speaking on AI search
How We Work
  • Remote-first & async-friendly: We optimize for deep work and clear written communication.
  • Outcome-driven: We value results over hours; we show our work and our impact.
  • High trust, high standards: We support each other and hold a high bar for quality.
Benefits
  • Fully remote + flexible hours
  • Unlimited holidays
  • Above-market remuneration
  • World-class client roster (AWS, ClassPass, PitchBook, AG1, Skyscanner, etc.)
  • Smart, supportive teammates and real career growth
  • Learning budget and modern tooling

For US-based employees

  • Generous health benefits
  • 401K matching program
