Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Intrepid Digital, LLC (“Intrepid Digital”, “we”, “us”) collects through www.gointrepid.com (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not submit information through the Site.
1. Who we are
Intrepid Digital, LLC operates the Site. You can reach us, including for privacy requests, at:
Intrepid Digital, LLC515 South Flower Street, 18th and 19th Floors
Los Angeles, CA 90071
Phone: +1 323 · 763 · 9706
Email: friends.of [at] intrepidonline [dot] com
2. Information we collect
The Site is a marketing website. It has no customer accounts and no checkout. We collect personal information in the ways below.
a. The Work With Us form
If you complete the form at /work-with-us/, we collect the details you type in: your first name, last name, work email address, organization name, organization website, and a description of your project. The form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io), which sends your submission to us by email. We use it to reply to you and to discuss working together.
b. Newsletter signup
If you sign up for our email newsletter, The Intrepid Digital Buzz, we collect your email address. After you sign up you can, if you wish, add your first name, last name, company and industry; we use these only to tailor the newsletter content we send you, and you can skip that step. We also record which part of the Site you signed up from (for example the footer or a blog post). Signup is single opt-in: your address is added to the list when you submit the form, and we do not send a separate confirmation email. Your details are stored by our email service provider, Mailchimp, which records the date and time of your signup and, once newsletters are sent, whether you open them and which links you click.
When you submit the form, our own server also keeps a restricted record of the request as evidence of your consent: the wording shown with the signup form, the version of the form, the date and time, your email address, the page you signed up from, any optional details you add, and what happened to the request. This record is not published and is not used for anything else. To limit repeated or automated submissions, the server briefly keeps a salted one-way hash of the visitor’s IP address together with the times of recent submissions, and deletes it within two days. If an address is already on the list as unsubscribed or otherwise not subscribed, we do not add it again; we keep the request in a separate review file instead.
c. Server and CDN logs
When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical information that your browser sends, such as your IP address, the pages you request, the referring page, your browser and device type, and the date and time of each request. The Site is delivered through Amazon CloudFront and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers; our web server keeps access logs, and CloudFront may keep its own request logs. We use these logs to keep the Site secure and working, and to diagnose problems.
d. Business contacts and past subscribers
We also hold contact details of business contacts, and of people who subscribed to our earlier newsletters, in the CRM, email, and other business systems we use, which are provided by Zoho. We use them to follow up with you and to send communications you have asked for or would reasonably expect from us. You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you or to delete your details (see “Your rights and choices”).
e. A third-party script on some pages
Some pages of the Site load a small script from a third party, thefontzone.com. These include the Our Work page, the case studies, the services pages, the blog listing, and many blog posts. The home page, the Work With Us page, and this page do not load it. When a page that carries the script loads, the script sends the following to thefontzone.com: the address and path of the page, the referring page, any query string or fragment in the address, whether the page was loaded over HTTPS, your browser’s platform, your screen size, and your time zone. Your browser contacts that server directly, so it also receives your IP address and standard request information. We understand the script is used for website security and content protection. We have not independently verified how the operator of thefontzone.com uses or keeps this information. We do not use it for advertising. The script does not itself create cookies or use local storage on your device; we have not verified whether the server it contacts sets cookies of its own.
What we do not collect
Apart from the third-party script described above, the Site does not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or advertising or tracking cookies. We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information, and we ask that you do not include any in the free-text project field of the Work With Us form.
3. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries from the Work With Us form and to start or continue a business conversation.
- To send the newsletter to people who signed up, and to manage subscriptions and unsubscribes.
- To follow up with business contacts and past subscribers.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Legal bases and consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another place that requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following.
- Consent for the newsletter. You give it when you submit the signup form, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of earlier sending.
- Legitimate interests for answering Work With Us inquiries, following up with business contacts, and keeping the Site secure (including server and CDN logs and the security script described above). These are interests we believe are not outweighed by your rights, and you can object to this use as described below.
- Steps before a contract, where you contact us about becoming a client.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. At the time of this update the public pages of the Site do not set cookies of their own, and they do not load advertising or social-media tracking scripts. Some pages load one third-party script, from thefontzone.com, which is described in section 2e. That script does not itself set cookies or use local storage, and we have not verified whether the server it contacts sets cookies of its own. Google Tag Manager was removed from the Site on October 6, 2026.
- Staff session cookie. The content management system our staff use to edit the Site sets a session cookie to keep them signed in. It is for staff only and is not set for visitors.
- Local storage. The home page can save a display preference (which motion effects are switched on) in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Newsletter prompt. On blog posts, a small newsletter prompt can appear after you have read most of an article. If you close it, or sign up, the Site saves a small flag named
ftf-nl(with the date) in your browser’s local storage so the prompt does not appear again: for 30 days after you close it, and permanently after you sign up. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is used only to remember that choice. The Site does not use a cookie for this.
If we add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our communications, and only for those purposes:
- Formspree processes Work With Us form submissions and emails them to us.
- Mailchimp stores the newsletter list, sends the newsletter, and records signup time and email opens and clicks.
- Amazon Web Services (CloudFront and EC2) delivers and hosts the Site and keeps related server logs.
- thefontzone.com receives the technical information and IP address described in section 2e when you load a page that carries its script. We understand its purpose to be website security and content protection.
- Zoho provides the CRM, email, and business systems we use to follow up with contacts and past subscribers.
- Other business software providers, such as email and office tools, which hold the messages we receive from you.
Our other providers are required to protect your information and to use it only to perform services for us. For thefontzone.com, see section 2e: we have not independently verified how it uses the information it receives. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect our rights, safety, or Site, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
International transfers. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer safeguards that our providers offer.
7. How long we keep information
- Work With Us submissions: 24 months after we receive them, unless we have started a business relationship with you or the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a minimal suppression record (your email address and the fact that you unsubscribed) so that we do not email you again. The consent record on our server is kept for the same period.
- Business contacts and past subscribers: for as long as needed to follow up with you, and until you ask us to delete them, subject to legal obligations.
- Server and CDN logs: no longer than 90 days.
- Information sent to thefontzone.com: held by that third party under its own practices. We do not control it and do not know how long it is kept.
8. Your rights and choices
Newsletter. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at friends.of [at] intrepidonline [dot] com and ask to be removed. We will remove you promptly and in any case within 10 business days.
California residents. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may give you the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to or a copy of it; to request correction or deletion; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions. If you are in one of these places, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
How to use your rights. Email friends.of [at] intrepidonline [dot] com with your request and the email address you used. We may need to verify your identity before we act. We respond to privacy requests within 45 days, and within 30 days where EEA or UK law requires it. If we need more time where the law allows, we will tell you why.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us information, please contact us so we can take action.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information we handle, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site and access controls on our hosting and administration systems. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, such as our LinkedIn page. We do not operate those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of each site you visit.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Changes take effect when posted. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will take additional steps to tell you where the law requires it.
